Six to Success – The pillars of a successful academic journey

UPES created a strategic plan to upgrade our education in the new normal and came up with the ‘Six to Success’ initiative. The six unique offerings seek to upgrade students’ knowledge while preparing them for the meritocracy

The new normal has fundamentally transformed not only the job economy but mindsets as well. On the surface-level, there seem to be many questions unanswered. Therefore, we need to ask some different questions. While the changes in the status quo can be a distressing development for many students, we would argue that students in college are uniquely positioned to benefit from the new normal.

Workers across the globe are distressed because many of them find their skill sets obsolete. Even though unemployment around the world is on the rise, organisations are facing a shortage of skilled labour to fill their positions. Students, at present, have the unique opportunity to be the first movers into this new normal, the industrial revolution 4.0 and help steer it. Also, they do not have to worry about their skills being outdated.

However, we cannot be complacent. Educational institutions should invest more in the future of their students. Understanding the urgency of time, UPES created a strategic plan to upgrade our education in the new normal and came up with the ‘Six to Success’ initiative. The six unique offerings seek to upgrade students’ knowledge while preparing them for the meritocracy. The initiative offers six benefits and is applicable for students enrolling in 2020:

Assured placements – With a high placement record, and an enviable roster of industry leaders, we offer our undergraduate students a 100% job guarantee. If students do not get placed, we offer them up to 51% tuition fee waiver for post-graduate programs.

Global immersion program – The new normal requires students to be well-versed with professional practices and developments. Global exposure should be a critical part of education.

Free international PG – At UPES, we value merit and support students to do well in their life. For students who perform well, a 100% tuition fee waiver will apply at our academic partner institutions, around the world.

50 international internships – Not just the performers, across the board, but other students will also get unique and exciting opportunities that open up not only their careers but also their perspectives. Top 50 students of UPES will get up to eight weeks of global internship, co-facilitated by our industry and academic partners.  

Free online international certification – Self-skilling and constant upskilling will play a fundamental role in the new normal workforce. Students can hone that skill by taking a free online course, thereby earning a globally recognised certificate from a renowned international partner institution of UPES.

100% scholarship for a semester abroad: UPES students will get an opportunity to study one full semester abroad at our academic partner institutions. Interested students will get 100% academic scholarship on tuition fees, which will enable them to refine their skills and attain a global outlook, which will also be an add-on in their resume.
