“In my final year, I got an on-campus Intern + Full-time offer from VMware Software India Private Limited as a Member of Technical Staff. Currently, I work as a Backend Application Developer at VMware. The role requires exceptional coding skills, which I am happy to say I learned at UPES. The university has helped me gain knowledge and exposure right from the start. The faculty has always been encouraging and helpful. With the support of my mentor, I wrote a research paper that got published in IEEE. For my academic excellence, UPES even provided me with a scholarship.

During my course curriculum, I held various positions, which helped me develop teamwork and leadership skills. The university organised personality development and aptitude sessions that helped me crack the interviews. The interviewers were highly impressed by my performance. “I have been placed in Amazon, and currently I am doing six months internship as a Software Development Engineer in the Amazon Appstore team. I have been assigned a project to create an internal job portal for Amazon named Explore.

Explore is a tool that provides end-to-end support to associates in their career development lifecycle. This tool is developed for employees to help them discover various tech and non-tech roles available within Amazon globally, skills required for those roles, and get guidance to build and grow in the desired capacity. This complete journey – starting from placement till now – has been roller-coaster. Every day is a chance to learn and explore new things.”
